Our customer wanted to replace their existing tank style water heater with a new tankless unit. The challenge was that their mechanical room was in the center of their house on a concrete slab with no access because of vaulted ceilings to replace their gas line.
After careful examination, we came up with a solution. We decided to combine a tankless water heater with space heating. The result? Our customer now has on-demand water heating with an energy star-rated appliance.
They were also concerned about high heating costs, and wanted to know what we suggested. After rigorous heat loss calculations, we determined that their furnace was oversized. We recommended a new smaller high efficiency furnace that would save them money every month.
Despite the extremely tight quarters, we were able to successfully remove their old oversized furnace and install a brand new high efficiency furnace. Now they have two energy star rated appliances that will save them money on their heating and water bills.
